Chained Slice earrings
These stunning earrings are amongst my most favourite designs. Mineral and metal layers are suspended in a miniature version of the layered landscape which inspired it; the beautiful Devon-Cornwall borderlands of the Tamar Valley. A lightweight crust of pure tin envelopes, grains of iron, copper and mica, combined in a handmade resin composition. No two 'jewels' are the same, each one is hand cut and finished in much the same way as a true earth gemstone is processed, this deliberate mismatch pair of earrings complement each other in uniqueness and take their visual cues from the sliced gallery layers and industrial machinery of a still active quarry.
Entirely one-off wearable art works in tones of chocolate, smoke and chalk, these earrings allow glimpses into their interior. The slices are 3cm in length, the chains have a further drop of 3cm and hang on sterling silver, elegant hand-made ear wires which shade from dark to bright. Each weighs 10g. There IS ONLY ONE of this design available to purchase.
Postage is included in the price.
